Who we are

Bidmagpie Ltd (“Bidmagpie”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England & Wales. We operate bidmagpie.com, a comparison shopping and marketing website. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Data protection contact: hello@bidmagpie.com

What data we collect

Contact form submissions: name, email address, company name, and any information you provide in the message field.

Analytics data: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and does not use cookies or track individual users. It collects aggregate page view counts, referrer data, and country-level location. No personal data is collected through analytics.

Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may log IP addresses, user agent strings, and request URLs for security and performance purposes. These logs are retained by Cloudflare under their own data processing terms.

Legal basis for processing

Contact form data: consent. By submitting the contact form, you consent to us processing your data to respond to your enquiry and, if relevant, to discuss our services with you.

Analytics and server logs: legitimate interest. We have a legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used and in maintaining its security and performance.

How we use your data

We use contact form data to respond to your enquiry, to discuss potential partnerships, and to keep a record of business correspondence. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for 24 months from the date of submission, after which they are deleted. If you become a commercial partner, data is retained for the duration of the partnership plus 6 years for legal and accounting purposes.

Third-party processors

We use the following processors to deliver our services:

  • Cloudflare (hosting, analytics, DNS)
  • Resend (transactional email delivery)

Each processor has its own GDPR-compliant data processing agreement in place with us.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to processing based on legitimate interest; request restriction of processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@bidmagpie.com.

We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
